Thinking about rebarrling a rifle and have been looking at shaw barrels. Has anyone had any experience with these good or bad.
 
This is my experience.
Savage action in a ER Shaw barrel.
That it for what it is.
A valve priced barrel.

DA is of the opinion that the only action to have is a Rem 700... He is wrong, but everybody is entitled to their opinion. Even if it's wrong. Which his is. Very wrong.

Er shaw is a good barrel. I've only handloaded for them. But their should be some factory ammo that shoots well through them.

Its a cast, sloppy heap of Mauser knock-off ******. Thats just my opinion though :grin:

Don't be bashing Mauser actions. They are the forefather of the modern bolt action rifle.
