Just got back from the Duck an hour or so ago. Water temp was 62 degrees and the river is way down. Managed to catch a couple smallies and a couple largemouth. The majority of the fish were spotted bass. Caught them all on a plastic craw. Some had shad tails sticking out of their throat and were plenty fat, but couldn't catch em' on any shad type baits. Go figure. Anyway, had to crunch a few rocks and jump a few logs to get to them, but a decent evening anyhow. We fished well after dark, but didn't catch anything after dark.

Congrats AO... I saw a boat on Douglas when I was leaving yesterday with a jet. Made me want one ever worse. Been thinking about just buying the kit to convert mine over to jet. Probably be underpowered then since it's only a 50 on a 1756.

Spotted bass are purdy fish. Plastic craw is also one of my favorite lures. Green pumpkin or watermelon seed or something like that. Caught a couple in the Piney jigging one last week.

Yeah I like a little green pumpkin in my craws, but I have a guy hand pour some for me in my secret color.

Well...Probably a time or two. We jumped a couple logs and slid a few rocks. Their were 8 other boats on the river when we got there.
