Ok I have 4 ducks in the freezer that a guy was supposed to mount for me.
Long story short he didn't and they have been in the freezer like 4 years.
Are they a lost cause or could they still be mounted?
If so does anyone on here want the challenge?

Re: Duck mounting question

I'm not a taxidermist but have kept ducks in the freezer for a couple years and had the mounts turn out great- I'll credit Artistic Compositions for that.

Re: Duck mounting question

It all depends on how well they were wrapped up but 4 years is pushing it. The feet, head and wing tips get pretty dry by that point.

Re: Duck mounting question

All your answers are above. Basically, only a taxidermist could decide after they thaw whether or not they think it will turn out.
