Drought and Deer?

I know deer get most of their water needs met with forage, but with the continued drought, at what point do they go in search of an actual water source?
Our fields are dry and dusty and the leaves on the trees are all pretty dry.

On our hunting land we put in waterholes for the deer at different places around the farm, last couple of weeks we filled all the waterholes back up using a 250 gal tote..Have you made any watering places for you deer at all...?

Between myself and my friend, we witnessed 20 deer just this morning head to ponds to drink, including a 135in 8ptr who was 4.5 yo. Yesterday eve, I had 8 come to a pond for a drink shortly before dark. Bucks are checking water sources for does just like they would have checked them in years past like a food plot

That last part is very interesting. Just shows how dry it really is now.

Near the house, the creek has gone totally dry. There is a stock pond on adjoining property, about 200yds from the property line.
On the farm, same thing. There is a spring on the neighbor's property to the south and a stock pond on the neighbor's to the north.
I'm SOL, unless I monitor the property lines at these areas.
In Clarksville, we have waterhole, but it isn't as dry there as Giles and Lincoln.
