Do those clamps work to attach pull cord to cable?

They work. I don't like them though.

Not worth the chance in my opinion. It's too easy to just run the cord through the cable string.

Or you can serve a spot on the cable and just tie the cord to the cable with the same knot as a d-loop. The serverd spot keeps the rope from going up the cable. This way you can change rope or rests without pressing the bow or having to go to the shop to have them do it.

I have never used them and havent had a problem with several ripcords over the last 5 years!

I served my cable and tied mine on. Never had an issue.

I know a few guys who use the football style clamp and it works for them. So I guess it's a matter of pref.
