A friend brought me a paper grocery bag full of assorted peppers. Serrano, Jalapenos, Tabasco, Habeneros, Poblano and Cayennes.

Didn't know what to do with them all so we decided to dry them. Bought a cheep dehydrator from Walmart and I think it turned out very nice. Time to make some Chili.

The dehydrator did that good a job at drying them out? You do any prework on them or just throw them in the dehydrator? Stink up the house? Really does look great. In the past I just tied them on a string and hung in the kitchen.

Yea, I just followed the instructions that came with the dehydrator. No real prepwork. Cut the peppers into 1/4 inch strips, dehydrate until they break with a snap. I took about 7-8 hrs total. I did move them to the garage after the first hour because it was starting to spice-bomb the house. There are probably 5-6 trays worth of peppers in each bottle.
