I dont know what my cayennes are but I think they were just a regular old seed pack I bought somewhere a few years ago. A buddy of mine saved some of the dried ones I gave him, so I planted the seeds this spring and they germinated very well. They are really fat for a cayenne pepper.

thanks, yes i really like these. they grow from 1-3 inches in length and taste like they are at the top of the scoville units for cayenne. the others that i used to grow were about 6 inches, fat with tough skins and didnt have a whole lot of heat. the size and heat of these makes them perfect for vinegar pepper sauce.

Looks good. My dragon cayenne is loaded with peppers, but they're all still green with some just starting to change. I plan on stringing them up to dry when they change.

it dont take long for them to turn red. instead of needle and thread i use 80lb mono fishing line cut at an angle with a button at the bottom. the line is stiff enough to sew them if you have some that weight.

also if you work with those bare handed dont rub your face or eyes even after you wash your hands. i bout put blisters on my eyelids last night.
