Food Plots dragging the woods?

Anybody try dragging a boxblade through the woods, teeth down to scratch up the surface?
Get any good weeds or young growth?
Got a 6 ac patch of woods that used to hold deer but now you can see straight through it as it has grown up. Don't have permission to do any cutting.

Light is probably more limiting than soil disturbance in your case

Now that the leaves are down broadcast wheat, it won't be covered but a great late season food attractant

Long term solution is sunlight to forest floor. If there are any junk trees that dont add any timber value maybe the landowner would allow laying those down? Another option could be burning off leaf litter, might help generate some growth...but again, sunlight is key. So if none of thats an option I agree with going in the center of the wood lot and clearing a couple acres of leaves and sow wheat heavy. If you have a backback blower you could use it.

The problem on this property is cover. Cutting is THE answer but not an option as of now.
Plenty of food around, I was hoping to get some blackberry briars and whatever else to come up. Sounds like its not worth the trouble.
This is a 6 ac wood plot in the middle of a lot of AG and nursery that is in the daily travel route to a larger block of woods the other neighbor has. It used to be a bedding area before the trees matured and I was hoping to get some junk to regenerate making it attractive again.

I'd be afraid box blade teeth would tear up roots and cripple trees. Furthermore if you do have any underbrush or saplings at all the box blade would destroy it.

Yep, a landscape rake would be a better option.
