I have 10 dp's that I run occasionally. Is it detrimental to set them up close together? Like 3 of them on one field edge, about 10-15yds from each other? If it is, how far apart should I be placing them? Thanks!
They typically say if the spot is good for one it's good for two. Like @JCDEERMAN said.. just be aware how far your chain will extend if you have a catch so they don't get wrapped up in each other or anything major they could use as leverage.
Thanks for the replies, fellas. I was wondering if they might see their compadre in a trap and steer clear. I haven't run them in a couple years but have always set them up like that, mainly out of ease to run (laziness really). I don't remember catching more than one at a group of traps on the same night but I cannot totally rule that out either....I just can't recall.
I've caught several doubles in same spots. Watched video of guy setting dozen traps together in spots deer had been fed. Took a few nights but he had 8 in one spot on a check
