Question for the ones that have a field . How many birds are you seeing ? It seem like last week when the cold front hit we had plenty of birds . This week it seems like they have left . My question is does the hot weather push them out also ?

Plenty here in SW TN. Over the last few days, more sightings in evenings when compared to early mornings. Cool front coming through this weekend may shake things up.

I had plenty on my sunflowers and millet until last week's cold front. Not seeing many this week.
The rest will probably leave with this weekend's cold front.

Looked great last week.
Looked very sporadic this week but with a one-week old and crazy hot weather I've not exactly put a lot of energy into finding them.
This morning after I dropped the 5 year old off at school the field beside the house was chocked full of them. Add all that to the potential weather this weekend and who knows? We've usually always got enough to shoot at, even in "down" years (knock on wood). In good years, it's lights out. Just happy for it to be here this year honestly

I drove from Greenfield to Haywood County yesterday around 930 am. I saw 5 doves on the power lines the entire drive, 3 were in Haywood County.

My son works for comcast, he hates dove season, yes folks shoot them off lines with a shotgun, any self respecting poacher knows it supposed to be 22 shorts :p ,
I have witnessed…..I mean heard that a .17hmr will cut a power line going to a house if you shoot slightly under a tweety bird.

Telling for a friend of course 😬😜
