Is that a shotgun/muzzleloader? Looks like a cool toy.

No toy here, thats my primary hunting weapon. And yes its a Davide Pedersoli chrome lined double barrel interchangeable choked 12 ga muzzleloader.

I bet its fun to shoot doves with it. Can you see them fall after the shot?

Depends on how hard the wind is blowing and which direction they are flying. I had a bit of trouble with smoke the other day shooting at a rabbitt on a dead calm day and the rabbitt was running away from me.

why exactly do u only hunt with a muzzleloader?

Its the only shotgun I have, and its become alot of fun over the past several years. Ive taken turkey, squirrel, dove, rabbitt, crow, duck. I am working on Quail now.

thats super cool, got a buddy thats a crack shot with his squirrel rifle,i wondered how he shot so quick,he has a board with a couple dozen holes drilled in it & he puts a patched ball in each, too bad you cant do that with loose shot,mike243

Thats going to be my next gun, a .32 cal squirrel gun. They are about 600 to 800 bucks though.

the smoke is bad on a cold day in a duck blind standing next to him when he shoots, no one can see after that thing go's off. looks like the blinds on fire

Nice pics trealtree!
Is there still good dove hunting on PP unit 2 this time of year?
Sure looks like fun, I might want to try it - didnt get anything over there earlier this year.

Its hit and miss, the week before I went deer hunting out there I saw 50 or 60 birds flying around, but opening day the 19th I went dove hunting where I saw them and saw 1. Go figure.

Wow, I guess you just gotta keep at it.
But Id rather keep deer hunting right now to tell you the truth!
Especially if you cant be sure if there gonna be there, heck deer are the same way though.
