I have seen a steady decline in numbers Down the I75s county's below Knoxville, tried Campbell county a few years ago and mirrored , I have seen more birds at the wma's pretty steady from year to year. I believe lack of food at the leased fields is the reason for the low numbers and the higher at wma's. Thats probably why Chaney Lake always have large # of birds, his continuing efforts for the best plots possible also his rules on shooting times ect. The large corn patches spread the birds out and the last couple years looked to have been picked in July, The newer equipment loses very little corn compared to yester year.
