i have been planting my own sunflower fields for about 10 years, going to no-til all of them this year, about 35 acres total in 5 different locations, did my burn down this past wednesday

Makes for one extremely fast shooting opening day. The following weeks are typically steady too. Come November and December the quail take over what's left of the seed.
The only reason we keep the plot small is because all of our other open areas are prepped and ready for our deer food plots by the time dove season comes around. Plus there are only two of us that hunt there. The doves still fly and we have plenty of room.
