My cousin is wanting to plant a strip of millet for doves. When is the best time to plant it or is it to late?

I would say it was pretty much too late if you are wanting to hunt over it in September... I would just go with the disc and spread wheat option... Start now and spread some sunflower seeds and corn, wait two weeks before season and turn that under and spread wheat.

if GW finds "one" corn or sunflower seed you will get a ticket for hunting over bait and field will probably be shut down
