Went to Douglas yesterday crappie and sauger fishing. Caught 1 sauger, and 1 walleye. Had about 6 or 8 bites. Did that for about 3 hours. Then we started crappie fishing. They bite really good. There were 2 of us fishing and we caught over 80 crappie. The problem was they were all little. Had 1 keeper out of all them. Everyone around us was doing the same. We ancored in 7 feet of water and thew toward the bank. Used 2 flies under a float about 2 feet deep. Light colored green flie was thier preference. If ya want to go just catch alot, go to the big flat up at point 18.

sounds like ft. loudon/tellico. you catch 100 fish and have two 10.25 inch keepers.

fun trip. Did you try fishing at three feet? We been catching the biggest ones at 3 and 4 feet at Normandy.

Water at Nina is chocolate milk and with the rain is becoming pretty stained up toward leadville and down around Walters.. Was killin crappie until the water dropped 5 ft in 2-4 days

I've been wanting to try the crappie this year but the dang bass bite has been pretty good for me. I keep a rod an some jigs in the boat but haven't tried them yet.
You're right about the water drop. It's down to where it was a couple of weeks ago again. Pretty dangerous out there right now if you don't have GPS or know where you're going.
