when you fight the biggest catfish you would have ever caught for a good 15 minutes only to get it to the dock and have the dang thing rip tour line as you reach down to pick it up? I do

I do too but I was at a party for the 4th and was using a little pole my cousins use to catch brim(funny thing is it was a flueger with cheap line). Tonight Ill take my pole with 30lb test spider wire... And probably get no bites

I can't say for sure but it was over 30" long... Big enough to give my forarm a workout!

I would rather have 30-40 pound mono any day compared to any braid. That braid will get you sooner or later if you fail to check it regularly , especially in rocky areas. Don't get me wrong , I have some reels spooled with 80 lb its just that day in and day out I like the characteristics of a good mono better!!! But maybe you will stick his grandpa tonight!!!

I didn't know you were supposed to get them all the way to the dock, let alone get them all the way out of the water. I'll have to try that sometime.
