10 ft jon boat, i know it looks like training wheels but i got this boat specificly for a lake full of big bucketmouths that is hard to access. i practiced tig welding on it, i was on a roll till i ran out of gas and caught on fire. if i dont catch fish on it at least i can use it as a wheel barrel.... :D

I like it, not a bad idea but . . . .
If you would have welded the wheels on top, then you could have flipped it upside down when you wanted to pull it on the wheels, then the wheels would not be in the water when right-side-up. they might give you a little drag and affect maneuverability in the water but they will also give some flotation.

Good job.

Go ahead and wire it up and put some lights on it and pull it behind your truck.

Pretty good idea man, I like it.

Actually, you just gave me an idea for a river-running boat. :D

But instead of having the wheel axle on the bottom, it's going to be on the top, and instead of small wheels, going to use large ATV tires (just big enough to hang about 2 inches below boat bottom, with axle flush with stern. Might even mount another pair on the bow, making the river boat a true 4-wheeler!

Now, those ATV low-pressure tires should easily "roll" and absorb the river rocks, and when the water is too shallow, just get out and "roll", "roll", "roll" your boat, gently down the stream. This would be ideal for low water on the Caney or the Clinch! :D

:D ...like a all terrain jon boat with independent suspension, u all have very good ideas, my plan was just make it simple to throw it inside a suv or on a back of a pick up and just roll it to the water... wheels n all. im just goin to use a small trolling motor . i was goin to krylon some flames on it but it think im goin to leave it as is w the burn mark too :D

Lol...for about 5 seconds I thought the wheels were to pull behind a truck.

Cool idea, hope it works great for ya. The wheels on the bottom are probably better anyhow...having to flip the boat would've meant u couldn't carry anything in it.
