Until I get a E collars.the dang things are staying in the pen,went rabbit hunting today,soon as they hit the ground took off after a deer with me me screaming and hollering at um.been trying find them for half a day with no luck,at least they are close to home so maybe they'll show up.

Sorry to hear it tailchaser. Just a tip, dont put a collar on one that aint worth atleast what you paid the collar! If you think losing dogs because you didnt have a collar makes you mad, wait til you spend a few $$$ on a collar, put it on the dog, and have it leave the country shock collar still on, never to return!!It happens. For what a good system costs(where you actually get your moneys worth)you could probably buy a.dog or 2 thats a pleasure to hunt with. That being said if your gonna hunt with dogs these days its almost a must! Hope you get your dogs back!!


I use a Sportdog 3225, had a cheap sportdog 800 few years ago didnt cost much but worked like a dream

Ive been very lucky because mines naturally deer proof. I still run tracking and training collars on them for handling purposes!

Well they showed up about 10:15 tonight,got um back in the pen and thats where their gonna stay until I get some collars,I'm done chasing dogs,had another dog last week that I couldn't catch for 3 days.

Mud Creek how do you like the 3225? Im trying to decide between the 3225 and the tri tronics trash breaker. I mainly need it for the tone feature to let beagle pups know its time to go to the truck or as a last resort if they get too close to a road and decide not to listen. Plus I want the extra range both models have just in case one gets after something it's not supposed to.

My SD stuff never seems to work when I need it. Maybe the bigger ones work better but the 800 I have is not very good. I just use it in the truck now for whining, unnecessary barking or striking off game. I wouldn't trust it for deer breaking. I run Garmin tracking collars on all of my hounds and we have a meeting with Jesus when I catch em running one.
