Reason for being done? No birds to hunt, no time to take off, other priorities, no tags left, leaving some seed stock, no one else to take, just plain lost interest? More curious than anything.

I'm only going to try 2 or 3 more trips.
After getting out 4 times this season, I've yet to see a Gobbler. I've seen several Hens though.

Reasons I've considered hanging it up already…
1- Almost no turkey sign in the typical areas that are loaded with birds.
2- After fly down, there's no more gobbling.
3- I'm hearing about groups of Gobblers being seen, 6-8 at a time. We all know what that means.

4- Several places that I frequent on public land have pop-up blinds that just have been left out for weeks. I actually considered posting their locations on FB so they'd be gathered up.

I still enjoy getting out there, despite all the things that haven't gone very well at all.

I may not pull the trigger on bird #2 and that's fine with me as I'm trying to get my brother in law on one. He's blown 3 chances to this point. The first two were misses on the same group of birds 3 hours apart which he later found out was because his base was broken so scope was off. The third was last weekend and I had him sitting 20 yards to my right and the bird came to within 25 yards of me and about the same for him. He never shot and I thought maybe from his view he couldn't see him over the rise but after the bird walked off he said he could see him so I asked why he didn't shoot. Said he wasn't sure on distance. 🤦‍♂️

Its the latest ive ever had a tag. Have one left, shouldn't have it. missed one at 15 ft. Weird year. Have had 5 different birds within 25 yards that never even got shot at. 2 of those were with kids that have never turkey hunted. But work is making it tough now to get another hunt or 2 in.

I'm not done, but I haven't really got after them. Every time I'm able to hunt it rains or something comes up and I can't go. Still hearing them gobble every morning, more so than the second week of April.

Ive been out of tags since 8th day of season, wife and son both should be tagged out but have blown perfect chances😂 they have a tag each left so we will go till the last day. Ive only missed three mornings of listening other than sundays since it opened, i cant get enough!!!

Are they still gobbling?
Some of the "remaining ones" are, and gobbling becomes more sporadic (day to day) later in the season, especially in SW TN where we've been summer like conditions a lot of the season (80-90% full foliage and plenty of days north of 80-85°). Most of the loud mouths were in the freezer/grease few weeks back.
