Seeing Pat Henry's post the other day of his Boykin's 1st ducks got me to thinking. Those of us who hunt with dogs understand the bond between ourselves and our dogs, few can understand the bond between hunter and his best friend unless you've been there. They relish the hunt as much as we do if not more. They anticipate our every next move when they know the season is here. They rhythms of the dance, loading the truck, trailer, grabbing the shotgun they don't miss a beat. Tomorrow I take my Boykin, Dixie, for her surgery to repair her torn CCL. This will be my first season in the last four without her and I honestly don't have the same drive to go without her. For those of you with dogs, I'd love to see some posted pics of you and yours on some of your hunts. Take em!
