Got a picture of a coyote on the farm about the time I got off work. There's been a fawn around this corner for a couple weeks so grabbed rifle and headed over. One round of pup yip howls and this male came running in. As soon as I shot another one started booger barking in the woods but would not come out and take a peek. The Horizon 22 creedmoor is broke in now.

Very nice. I have a lot of free time so I've been exploring the idea of pest hunting for free, but I don't know where to look for clients aside from farms. And even then they tell me they're not interested!

I used to help farmers learn to trap them. Sure it isn't as fun as hunting, but I think it is more effective for real predator control.
You gotta hook me up with those farmers brother, I need a place to hunt & plink without Fudds & liberals on my back. Trade you two buckets of water, very useful in a heatwave such as this.

I haven't talked to them in awhile. They took my limited knowledge and ran with it.

They claim around 3300 fps with 80gr ELDX but I forgot my chronograph when I took it to the range. I haven't looked into the lighter loads
My 22-250 has the very slow twist so I can't go about 60-62 grains.

The 60 gr Partition gets right at 3500 FPS and will generally speaking get the job done.

I have a new fast twist 22-250 I will be using with the 70 gr Accubonds. Looks like 3300 is achievable but accuracy is first.

Here is first 5 shot group after barrel break in. Low hit is first shot after cleaning and rest just above with factory ammo
