;) Just kidding, of course it doesn't. Pretty sure I have another pic a couple of days later and that antler is gone.
Do you think that he will be "normal" next year or is the pedicle damaged?
 
I would guess his pedical is partially ripped away. I bet he doesn't have an antler, or only a cluster of spikes, on that side next year.
Yep, that's what I was thinking as well.
I don't usually shoot does on my property as our deer herd is way below carrying capacity so if given the chance I may just put little "one horn" in the freezer.
 
I shot a buck that had one side that looked like it melted down the side if his head. When I processed him he had a big lump on its rear qtr. When I cut into it a pile of puss came out. He had been shot and it healed over but was nasty inside. I tossed that qtr and ate the rest. He didn't grow any more antlers. 😂🦌
