Does spraying alert deer?

I just sprayed a hidden field where I plan on putting a no-til field in. I have a mature buck coming to corn and a trophy rock on the edge of the field during daylight hours. Will spraying bump the deer and put the mature buck on alert?

Yeah, it is my loss. We have plenty of food plots. I was just going to add a small hidden food plot by his bedding area. Bigfoot? I think you have been hittin the pipe a little too much.

piss at the corner of your plots. That doesn't seem to scare deer anymore

heck, disguise it as a garden with scarecrow, pie pans and kroger sacks. you'll have to guard the place with a shotgun at night to keep the deer out of it.

what can you do? worry about it and have a plot? or do nothing, no plot and let him get run over by a UPS truck cause he was looking for goodies on your neighbor's property.

LOL... could not have said better myself... hey farmers spray their crops every year... that doesnt seem to bump the deer out of the fields, scare crows and pie pans dont do much to scare them off either... only one way I have found to keep deer out of food plots...

I understand what you mean. My question was more geared towards alerting what I think is a 4 1/2 year old buck. I know does and younger bucks wont mind. My situation is this: I have a grown up field that butts up to a sanctuary where the buck lives. He is coming to the grown up field because I have corn out right now. However, I obviously can't hunt over that corn. I was wondering if I should go in and cut the ragweed infested field and put in a food plot. This food plot wouldnt be more than 1/8 of an acre. I'm not planting it because I want to see deer or really to feed a lot of deer, I'm planting it because I want big boy to come back and show himself during bow season. I was wondering if by going in and disrupting that area would put the 4 1/2 year old buck on alert and cause him to become nocturnal.

We have plenty of big feeding fields for deer; so I'm not worried about having enough food for deer. I simply want to give this buck a reason for coming back to the spot he is eating corn at right now.

I've decided to put a small plot in. I have already sprayed and will be cutting the weeds this wed. I have a rock rake that I will be using to get the rock out and disturb the soil. Hopefully all will go well and I will have a secret hunting plot and big boy will step out during shooting hours.
