Nope! Just hours before, the loggers were working away, running skidders, loading logs, yet the deer continued to use the salt lick. The log-skidder is parked just to the right of the field-of-view:

 
You got that right. I have gotten MANY pics of deer hitting the salt with the skidder in the background about 30 yards away.
 
Hope not one of our farms was just select cut 5 months ago. I actually love the new trails, it has provided us with new stand locations, that we previously could not access.

A good trail system can make a property so much more valuable!!

On a clearing project we did back in the spring, there was one corner of this guys property that he had a stand, but they never hunted it because it was almost impossible to reach. Now with the new trails we cut, you can practically ride up to the ladder with the buggy. Made it so much easier for the deer to funnel by the stand also!

It may just be coincedence, but on the private property I hunt we're seeing more deer/bucks than ever on camera during the day in these last few weeks and they just logged the ajoining property last year.
 
well im glad to hear this. the farm we lease got logged this spring i pulled all my stands out and was hoping i would even see deer this year. i drive by at night and usually see some desaround the field but saw nothign this year and i havent put my camera up due to the logging but plan on start putting stands and cameras up monday we also had a small twister go thre as well knocking down trees too so maybe it will be a good year

Every logger i have ever spoken to will tell you the same, they come to the downed tops many times before the trucks leave.

Hate you went to all that trouble,popular misconception,Ive sat on top of the dozer I used clearing all day to hunt,killed several that way.Was loading dump trucks several times with deer withinn bow range watching and eating.
 
I see them all day long. I think its even legal for me to shoot them off the skidder. But I dont care about that.If I get permission to hunt the property were logging I always know were the main trails are even if there not that visble. Just from sightings the whole time we were logging.I saw a monster last year. 12 points probably 20 inches wide. Also 2 years ago I watched a lardge 8 point dogging a small doe in march!! And he still had his antlers :D
