Yes it does!!! I had 6 does directly down wind from me feeding on acorns for over an hour yesterday afternoon. Never knew I was in the world. My belly got to rumbling and man I had to let one go.....4 seconds later and you would have thought I threw a handgrenade in the middle of those deer. Anyone else experience this or does mine just stink really bad????

Honestly, if they were downwind enough to smell a fart, they were downwind enough to smell you the human. I suspect the wind finally brought your scent to them. Basically, a coincidence of timing.

I kinda side with BSK on this one but it depends. Was it a regular fart, or was it one of those where you may have left a little suprise for the wife when she does the laundry?.........not that I've ever done that! Lol

A loud one might. A flutterbust could but I doubt wgee would. For sure a cafuse would and some braaks might. No way a whoosh would.

If someone posts a Vid of them Stopping a Deer with a Fart in order to shoot it, most of us would laugh so hard we would stop breathing.

If any fart spooks a deer, it would be mine. If I eat enough toasted pumpkin seeds this fall, I could kill deer without even firing my weapon. Might save ammo... hmm, good idea....

If you could fart to stop a deer for shot that would make a great video
I am keeping that one in mind. If I ever find myself filming a hunt, and the rumble comes to my bowels, I might have to let'er rip and shoot that deer.

The deer were there for well over a hour and never smelt me at all. Never knew I was there. 4 Seconds after the fart they tore the clubhouse down....My Scent Blocker did not "Block" that odor. I am sure the fart spooked them!!

How would a deer know that a fart is something to fear? That is the only question that needs to be answered. You know, humans are not the only animals that fart. How would a deer know it is a human fart unless they can see you smile?

I think it has to do more with the sound not smell. Was it more of a machine gun fart or one of those loose sphincter farts that kind of feels like the arse cheeks are jigglin'?

Since this thread is in the toilet anyway....when I was a little kid my grandfather would teach me "sayings" and "legend type stuff".....one day on the way to our hunting spot he said "youngster, I want you to repeat this after me"

I'm a smart feller
I'm a feller smart
It takes a smart feller
To make a feller smart

Then he said, said it as fast as you can ten times.....

I have obviously not analyzed this from a scientific standpoint or anything, but I would *GUESS* that humans have a lot more sulfur in their diet, along with other toxins/additives not found in nature (or at least, in those concentrations). It's not much of a stretch to think that an animal smelled a cumulonimbus-sized rectal explosion scented like mexican spices and root beer and thought "that doesn't smell right".

We eat stuff that other animals don't, so our off-gases (you can tell I work in a refinery) probably carry some distinctive odors.

I buy the story - they were OK with the low level of odors from the scent-managed hunter, but the fart did him in.
