This is my first year ever trying mock scrapes. This morning after shooting a doe I decided to go and check on my mock scrape I made 3 weeks ago. I found doe poop in it. Was told by a buddy that this was a good sign is it

There is no difference between buck and doe poo.

Either way though. At least you know deer are using it.

I saw doe poop a week ago, right where two does had come from that morning. It was green and shiny, so obviously that means buck poop is black and dull.

There's only one way to tell for sure and that's the taste test. Buck poop has a more musty, earthy flavor. You need to try that next time and you'll know for sure.

Mainly because I saw the doe poop in it while walking down trail just thought I would ask to see if anyone knew if that was a good sign seems like no one knows either

I was scouting with a friend one time and looking for droppings, rubs, etc when we jumped a couple deer. We scouted a few more hours and was talking about our finds. I was a little disappointed in our findings when he said 'well I guess the best evidence of deer using the area is seeing deer'.. I don't know why that struck me as profound - probably because I try to overcomplicate everything...

So I would say seeing a deer poop in your scrape is a good sign deer are around.
