And a licking branch. Passed this little buck up at 12 yards opening day of archery, hope he makes it to next year.




 
It might be my eyes playing tricks on me, but that looks like buttons on top of that first deers head. Maybe he is feeling the itch like his older brothers!

It does look like it has little knobs on its head. Do button bucks get dark tarsal glands like mature bucks do? You can clearly see them on the buck picture but they are not apparent on the first deer.
 
Pretty positive its a doe got several pics. Heres one right before "she" got to the scrape. Button bucks in my area are about half the size of this deer.
