My inlaws house burned to the ground yesterday. Thankfully they got out with the clothes on their backs. Nothing else though. But seeing how hot the fire was and how it literally melted coins got me thinking that if my gunpowder and ammo in my safe exploded it would destroy everything in the safe too. It's fireproof but would it get hot enough anyway. You could hear their ammo exploding in the fire. I've gained a new respect for how hot a fire can get. Jewelry and silver melted into pools. Even items in steel cabinets were consumed into black dust.
