I have the low end ranger and always wanted to have a safe way to transport a loaded shotgun or rifle on my land. Yesterday got serious and was looking around the shop and saw an old guitar stand looking at me. After some drilling painting and making up some ways to attach it to the Ranger I came up with this. Its locked into place using a velcro strap on the top around the barrel and I plan to put in a couple of rubber or wood strips to make a slot the stock can sit in on the floor. So here it is - you can probably get these stands for cheap at tag sales or whatever. I had several at one point. I removed the legs by drilling out the rivets then drilled a hole on each of the leg holders. It is bolted in on the bottom (floor) using those holders and top (to the dashboard) using a black painted 1/2" conduit clamp.. Enjoy!
