Do I need a tractor to plant plots?

I've got a 4 wheeler, some roundup and a small harrow.
I plan on spraying weeds tomorrow and planting in a week or two.
Can I plant, wheat, crimson clover,and turnips without a disk?
any ideas are appreciated!

Yes.. make as good of a good seed bed as possible with what equipment you have and top sow all the seed you mentioned. The rain will take care of the rest.

My food plots have never had the ground turned. We tried it once and the only thing we accomplished was destroying a brand-new disk. We just mow the plots tight to the ground, wait a week to get the weeds/grasses regrowing, then broadcast the seed and spray round-up over the plots the same day. Now we can't use most large-seeded plants because they don't germinate well being broadcast onto the surface, but cereal grains (wheat/oats/rye) and small-seeded plants like clover and rape do quite well. The only large-seeded plant that seems to germinate well being broadcast without burying is buckwheat. We probably get 75% germination of buckwheat.

i have always used a tractor, BUT, you can use a tiller to tear up the dirt and flip / turn it. You can rent them for about 40 bucks a day. :D

Ever tractor I ever rented broke down. Most had well over 12,000 hours on them. I won't do that anymore. Cost around $350 for a weekend and we never got much done due to constant breakdowns.
