Diver decoy rigging

Gonna rig me up a few strings of diver decoys.
I was thinking along the lines of having my weight then put some kind of clip every 3 feet or so where I could easily attach the decoys as I put the line out.
That way I could wrap the line around something for easy transport and keep it from tangling.
Any good ideas ?
I assume I need a weight on both ends.

A lot of guys in coastal NC have gone to using nets for their diver spreads. Basically imagine a heavy duty gill net with decoys attached to the netting and you basically put it out like a big rug. Put a couple out and let'em land in the middle. Really good success with it because when you see groups of divers, they're usually bunched up pretty tight.

I run long lines on most of my diver rigs, but also keep some on single drops. Main line can have clips or you can put clips on 2-3' drops off each decoy to clip onto a main line. I've done both. Christmas light spools work well for thinner lines, extension chord winder for thicker main lines. Window sash weights are best weights, but you can buy big rig em right grapple hook weights too.

Is this going to be a pickup daily thing or something that you will leave out for the season?

My daily pickup rigs have snap clips on the end of each line to attach and detach from the anchors. I don't have window weights so I made mine. 6" pvc pipe a foot long. Fill with concrete and put a heavy Guage wire loop in the concrete.
The reels I use are the cheap black ones they sell at walmart for reeling up your trot line.
I put a small loop every 6 ft on the line for my attachment point.
On the decoy I run a 2 -3 ft leader with a clip at the end to attach to those loops I tied on the main line. I just buy the trot line clips they sell at walmart.
By having the leader on the decoy the main line sits deep in the water allowing dogs to swim through without getting tangled up.
On a set up I leave out all season, I do all the same but use much heavier weights.

It will be a daily pick up deal.

I actually found something on youtube.
They are clips that you attach to the decoy then just clip them onto the main line and they hold enough pressure that they won't move on the line.
I was gonna order 2 dozen of them yesterday but then I noticed where I was gonna get them from the shipping was like $17.00, turned $26 bucks into dang near 50 pretty quick.
I decided to shop around a bit. LOL
