this has probably already been posted before, and if it has just point me in that direction, but if not would anyone mind posting a detailed step by step process for displaying native american artifacts on the wall? is it even possible to display them vertically? the only ones i have actually seen had the pieces glued to the backdrop, and i really don't want to do that. would i have to get separate cases for the arrowheads and the bigger pieces like scrapers or skull crushers?

The only to display artifacts vertically without damaging the artifacts would be a glass case . They make some from 1 to 4 inches deep and you can display thick and thin artifacts in the thicker cases as long as they are not to thin( they will slide around) The closest place i know of is in Clifton called the THE BOX.

You can get some foam at stores that sell hobby supplies it usually white or yellow so buy some felt to put over it and it will make your display look nice. The felt comes in all colors and is sold buy the yard even wal-mart carries it in the fabric section. Make sure you get enough foam the press firmly on your artifacts( you may have to double it up). A friend made me a case in the shape of the state of Tn. its my favorite.

this is the kind of cases i use for rocks or knives.
i make these cases myself and use solid wood and foam to hold the rocks tight to the glass.
