They don't take any thug that can ball, let him take underwater basketweaving every semester, and look the other way when there's illegal guns and drug arrests. I'm no Vandy fan but I sort of agree with spur hunter. Plus I am a sports fan and even though football is king they've held their own on the diamond pretty well the last few years

That's not entirely true. I read an article that said that at the time of the article, over 80% of the top 250 recruits met Vandy's academic requirements. Stanford and Duke are equally stringent academically and they both have successful athletics. It's a matter of priority. Vanderbilt's football stadium is an absolute dump. Players don't want to play there. On the other hand, their baseball stadium is one of, if not the finest in the nation.

I'm at the point only thugs play football. The last player I remember that wasn't a POS was Tebow and they got rid of his ASAP.
