What are the specific regulations regarding depredation by non-big game animals? I found this online: https://utextension.tennessee.edu/publi ... pb1624.pdf

Does that mean that legally you can shoot squirrels that are destroying or dominating your bird feeder? How about coyotes that are trying to kill your cat at night? (We only see them at night-the coyotes I mean :) )

(Just don't want to run astride of the law).

You may destroy animals causing you damage. If it is a big game animal or a federally protected animal it requires a permit.

If you go outside of normal manner and means, I would coordinate that response with the local officer so there are no issues.
