Interesting. Why do you say this? Just curious as I see the threaded barrel as a positive and not a negative.
On a classic/traditional style impeccable rifle such as this, I want to hunt it AS-IS, and just not a fan of the bulged threads. I wouldn't put a can on it. I have my dedicated classic rifles for nostalgia and my newer "more beater" type that are threaded for a can. I hunt both, but I will not thread an older classic that I've owned for 30+ years. When I first got into suppressors 5+ years ago, I had gunsmith's tell me they wouldn't cut down or thread an older classic that couldn't be replaced. YMMV

It's definitely "a thing".. DA sold an old 700 BDL for a neighbor or friend on here a good while back that had been fitted with a factory brake. It was blued like the barrel - fit was magnificent - bluing matched… but it just felt wrong being such a nice OLD 700 BDL. WTS, I bought it anyway 😆

If you get ready to sell it let me know!

Interesting. Why do you say this? Just curious as I see the threaded barrel as a positive and not a negative. Especially this one, thinner barrel in the middle then belling out for a proper shoulder threaded 5/8-24 for a can. I plan to send a beater 30-06 out for this exact shoulder and threaded barrel treatment.

It's just personal preference. I don't like the looks of a threaded barrel and can. Especially on a rifle like this one.

That was a nice piece……not sure how I missed it until now.

As far as threaded barrels and optics on pistols……. I don't care for either. But go to sell them and 95 % want them.
