4 weeks a go i tried to broadcast some corn checked it after two weeks an very few sprouted. Replanted two weeks ago with a borrowed 2 row planter and i got corn growing out the wazoo. The plants are a bout 4 inches tall. I guess you could say my second attempt worked well. Learned my lesson.
 
I agree. I have gone through the same learning experience this year. We have a decent stand using the broadcast method, but the time and effort we put into it are not yielding the results I wanted. I will be no till drilling mine next year. I'll try and post some pics of mine as soon as I get some. I have been slacking with my picture taking :)
 
yep, i suppose it is the controlled seed depth as much as anything. getting it right is a great relief when you put all that effort into it. Congrats.
