Deer with severe fibroma: question?

I had a deer in the back yard yesterday with a severe case of fibroma. Some of it was hanging down about on its legs about 1 foot and seemed to be making it difficult to walk. The other deer seemed to be avoiding this deer. I know this isn't really fatal to deer and I've heard that it doesn't make the meat inedible (I wouldn't touch it). My question, would you put a deer like tis out of its misery? Or let nature take its course. Its the first time I've seen this deer and its possible I might not see it again. Pic below is just an example and not a pic of the actual deer, but the deer I saw was worse than this one.

Only time it really affects deer is if the warts limit seeing or eating.

I might be hard pressed to not end the suffering if it causes a lot. looks painful but not sure if it is.

Not a painful condition. Usually disappear at some point. Caused by a virus. Eventually the body develops immunity. I used to squeeze them on cattle with pliers. Usually they'd be gone shortly. Apparently squeezing them dumps some of the virus into the bloodstream stimulating immunity.

They are nothing more than warts (same virus). I doubt the deer is in great discomfort. And yes, deer can get over them.

I saw a poor soul in Costco awhile back that seemed to suffer same type of problem on his human body. His face and head looked a lot like cauliflower. I just said a prayer for him and thanked God for my blessings.

I would have no problem eating the deer. Those warts are only on the surface of the skin. Pull of the hide, no difference than any other deer.

We've had two that I can remember with this condition in the 15 years I've been hunting a farm in KY. This is the worst one.

I saw the deer again this week. It appears to be a buck. I tried to get a pic but my battery on my big camera was dead. It headed North. Shortly afterward I heard 2 shots. I wonder if a mercy killing took place?

Deer wasn't suffering and should live normal life…

If you've eaten many deer you have almost certainly eaten one that had fibromas and cleared them normally with age

I'm not saying he killed it, just suspect it might have happened. Besides the fibromas, it didn't look very healthy.

Looks like they have extra meat on em! I wonder if fibromas are chewy after you pan sear them like deer heart???
