deer units discussion

So exactly what happened with the discussion about TWRA proposing changing the units up to better represent habitat and terrain, and base limit strategy off of that information? I honestly felt that would have a better impact on our herd. Did this just die with the buck limit drop?

I hope they came to an understanding that until they scrapped the current check in system and went back to a tag on a deer to be checked in at a physical location that a bunch of units made zero sense. Right now there is no way to enforce a wide variety of units and different bag limits or seasons.

Ding ding ding! We have a winner! For that matter, it doesn't even make sense to have the three units currently in place! Who is to say that doe in the back of my truck didn't come from a unit L county, no matter where I get checked!

There is a lot of people that do exactly that, and not just a few. Kill a deer in one county and say they killed it in another

With the system we have in place now where you can check a deer out online makes bending the rules very easy. It should not be easy to check a deer out if everybody is goin to complain about deer management!!!!! Ask other people in other states, we have a very liberal deer limit which we can harvest!!

I would like to be able to take more does in my area during rifle season, that the only thing I would like to see happen. I can care less about two or three bucks a year, I have only take one a year. Just my two cents
