Anybody know of anyone in southern middle tn that has a deer tracking dog??? My buddy shot a nice one this morning said he made a good shot on it, we waited almost an hour and started trailing it, followed good blood for 250-300 yards and we jumped the deer so we backed out and gave him 3 more hours and we just got back out here and we're just finding specs here and there, I feel like if we had a dog it could find this deer pretty quick. Any help would be appreciated.

You might be surprised what a untrained dog can do.Labs, beagles, and Dachshunds have all been good trackers. Maybe not as good as a Catahoula Cur. Pedigree don't matter as long as they get the job done.Remember tracking with a dog is a little tricky on the regs. Call TWRA,dog on a leash ,and U can not carry your gun. Maybe if you start with a call to TWRA they can give you a heads up on who has called them for permission to track.
