I have hunted most every Saturday and some Sundays from daylight till about 9:30-10:30 since bow season opened. In that time I have seen a total of 8 bucks but only 2 does. Does this ratio seem a little odd. I saw a total of 3 bucks this past weekend but no does. I am thinking that the does must be there somewhere or I would not be seeing any bucks, but just curious what some of you think about this. By the way, this is around a 400 acre tract with pockets of wood and fields.

I'm jelous. I've not been hunting every weekend, but I have been 12-13 days and I haven't seen the first buck. Well, I saw one messed up looking spike (If you would call it that).

That soes seem a little odd to not see any more does than that. Like you said, they have to be somewhere.

How old are the bucks? Young bucks IMO are alot more reckless than does. I have had them track my scent before.
does are pretty savy animals especially old ones. They deserve more credit than what they recieve.

Most of the bucks have been small in the 1 - 2 year range. Mostly spikes up to a small 6 pointer. No big uns....

I've seen almost exclusively bucks this year, it has been very strange. I've seen buttons all the way to 150" buck, but almost no does. Usually I've passed on 20 does by now, but I haven't had a single shot at a good doe this year. It is nice to see bucks for a change, just don't understand it.
