Deer roast - I'm gonna have to try this

Someone at work cooked this up, said it was really good... put a venison roast in a crockpot with a couple of sliced onions and four smashed cloves of garlic, put this sauce over it:

cooked on low for six hours. sounds memorable.

my wife doesn't eat peppers and my son doesn't eat meat, which means I will have to consume this all by myself. which is not necessarily a bad thing.

y'know, I wondered about that, particularly since he's 21 and doesn't drink :) ... but he is too much like me in too many other ways.
 
My wife makes a craberry sauce with: cranberries, crushed pineapple, lemon and apricot brandy. It is fantasic. I use it as a topping or dip for many things including vanila bean ice cream. It is the nuts with bream fillets. This is supper one night last week. The red stuff is the sauce,

if you like that try this

1 can of whole cranberries
1/2 can of well drain crushed pineapple
3-4 fresh jalepenos diced (without seed)

RE a deer roast. I can't duplicate it but I once had a deer roast made in a crockpot with a cup of coffee in it. Dang it was good.
