So is the deer #'s that much of a difference from say far east Tn as in carter county to far west Tn that different? I see there are certain areas that are 3 deer a day. There are places here if you see 3 deer you done good. Why so many more deer out that way?

Habitat

Big hardwoods in the mountains can't support as many deer as say a county in middle TN with scattered patches of woods and agriculture with increased edge and early successional habitat.

Can't speak for the entire area but here in my corner of Montgomery County (Unit L), there are a bunch of deer. I don't think I can do the 3 a day, at least not on any consistent basis, but I have taken 2, twice, both traveling together. Bucks on the other hand, in my neck of the woods, don't get real big, decent, but not great, at least not in the numbers I've seen in other areas, but every once in awhile there will be a few. And their numbers don't match the does, again in my area, but you can get your 2 easy enough.

Depends on where you are. Some of unit L is big hardwoods with little to no agriculture in the area and will hold very few deer while some areas are thick patches/strips of woods/fence rows around Ag fields and will hold high populations of deer. TWRA blanket manages the deer is why Unit L covers so much area.
