Deer movement in the rain

I'm going in the morning regardless but just wanted to know some info on how you think deer move in the rain . I like hunting in the rain for some reason but have never killed one during rain. Thanks

Went once in the rain during bow season just because i was curious about what i was missing out on by not hunting the rain. It was a pretty good morning. It was chilly that morning too. Rain was more of a steady mist by the time i got out there and the deer entered the field a little later than normal possibly from getting out of their bed late from the overnight rain. I would think a heavy rain that produces a lot of noise and hinders their vision or high winds would put more of a damper on movement than a light rain with hardly any wind. Just don't forget to keep you scope lens covered.

We had good movement with the kids for MS juvie weekend this past weekend. Saw suburban deer feeding both Sat afternoon and Sun afternoon in a light rain, but all does had fawns, so kids didn't want to shoot.

In general, I LOVE to hunt a light rain, especially if it is warm outside. really seems to get them on their feet.

Went this morning in a steady light rain. I jumped a doe on my hike in and that was it.. I have killed deer in the rain but, generally, it is much less productive (my experience). On the other hand, during November in Tennessee with the rut in full force, I don't think a little rain will stop a buck from chasing does.

One advantage of hunting in the rain is the increased level of surprise while stalking due to the quite wet leaves. I can get to some of my stands when the leaves are wet without making much noise at all. Flip side is that is is harder to hear the deer approaching when it's wet. So you had better keep your eyes peeled.
