Food Plots Deer missing

I'm blaming it on acorns. But has anyone else noticed a significant drop in food plot attendance? Doe and bucks both. Had to be a bumper crop of acorns hit the ground in the last 2-3 weeks here or something
 
Not sure what county you are in but it's just the opposite here in Houston Co. Very few acorns around my place. Deer are wearing fields and food plots out here.

You ain't kidding. No acorns in Montgomery County where I'm at. They are literally spending 6 hours a day in our plots. Gonna be an incredible muzzleloader season.

Same thing here but my plot is about a mile away from last year's. I think it's because the abundance of acorns. They definitely know where the protein sources are. That's their priority.

Where I hunt in Kentucky and at my house in Hickman, we had a ton of whites this year
 
I have mostly the same problem. I did kill a doe this week that came into one. She had a few acorns, but was full of corn. No corn fields around me. Happens every year the first of ML and rifle
 
Depends on which plot(s) for us. Some are being hammered while others are not being touched. We do have acorns for the first time in two years and deer are definitely on them, which is a great thing!

Our doe activity on our plots always tends to get lower this time of the season. I think it has to do with bucks pestering does and they know the bucks are hanging around the plots. Just always been my logic...
 
I have seen a big drop in food plot activities, and acorns are plentiful in Rutherford and Williamson Counties where I hunt. I think the rut plays more of a role than food source right now. On an unrelated note, this is my 100th post. See you boys in the Classified Section, FINALLY!
