saw someone online said they use deer mineral from the coop !! has anyone on here ever used it? i buy trophy rocks but they are getting smaller and smaller each yr and i think you can get the deer mineral for 15.00 25 pound bag

8point. TR now has two sizes. 12 an 20 lb each of which actually will have an extra 2-5 lbs over the labelled weight. Could not keep up with demand with just the one size (16) . Deer will use the man made loose mineral if there is nothing else available. The loose will dissolve into the ground faster in the rain an force your animals to eat the dirt , which they don,t need in their diet. If you are set on using a loose , TR will have one on the market in the very near future, and at a more economical price than the rock itself!Hhope this helps.

I used it for years and they have worn it out.

I use the 50lbs mineral blocks for $5 or $7.I take a axe and break it into two pieces and put it in seperate mineral sites.

Look on youtube: how to make a deer mineral site. They tell you the ingredients to make your own. I make 150 pound batches for around 50 bucks. Not a bad way to go and the deer LOVE it.
