Hmmmm, not sure if he was actually eating to consume. Might have had a chance to snag him after the squirrel was barking unceasingly at the deer, and just took him out. :grin:

Very interesting stik. I've read reports of deer around lake Michigan eating fish washed up on shore.

If deer will eat a live baby quail, I think anything is fair game!

When I was younger we had a little buck that hung around the house. He'd eat Rotell chips and dip, fried chicken, biscuits, flowers,and etc. he was just like a goat.

In my opinion a deer is a "glorified goat". Deer will almost anything.

Although deer can be amazingly picky eaters, over time, their range of food sources is quite large.
