I have now harvested (killed) two deer, both shot with my bow. A spike last year and this one (so far) this year. This deer came in behind me. I heard him walking looked around behind me, he looked huge to me! He was going away from me so I had to act fast stood up grabbed my bow.(I had wondered if I could shoot behind me out of the climber) I grunted at the deer to stop (like they do in the hunting shows ). He stopped and turned quartering to me enough I could see his vitals. It was now or never one more step and my chance was gone. Without thinking the arrow was gone. I pulled the shot left. I saw the deer running off with the arrow still in him. I got down really worried I would not find him. 25 yards from where I shot him I found blood it was a light trail but I could follow it slowly with the head lamp. I found him piled up 300ish yards from where I shot the arrow buried in him to the fetching. NAP KillZone very impressive!
