I got this morning off work and hunted for over 6 hours till noon when I climbed down. Saw a couple deer here and there from the tree. Scouted around for about 2 hours and bumped two does out feeding in the open as I was headed back toward the truck around 2:30. On the way home there were deer out in all the fields...they are moving now. Not sure bout yalls neck of the woods but I wish I didn't have to work this evening.

Figures. Hunted all day yesterday and saw one doe about 8:30. Had a little 6 point come first light this morning so I stayed at the house this afternoon with the kids. Last 2 weeks trail cam pics have dwindled to nothing as well. So I'm hoping it's the calm before the storm but I have never seen a opening weekend of ML with this little activity. At least in my area.
 
Got into the stand around 2 and only saw another hunter come up on me little after 3, who waits till 2 hours of light left to find a stand for the night

Have hunted when I only had 1 hour before and killed deer....
 
I took tomorrow off to hunt. I didn't hunt today because of a frickin' sinus infection. I am passing the morning hunt and I am going at noon and will sit till dark. Should be quiet. Going to try and read the entire book of Romans while I hunt. If nothing else, I'll have quality time with the Lord!

All of our green fields are best the last hour of light so if you are on stand by three you have got this.

They started coming to the fields around 2 pm here today. It's the earliest I have seen them come out in numbers so far this season. Seem to be leaving the woods for the green stuff to eat here a lot more than usual.
