Deer and turkeys

I wonder if they kinda look out after each other.... who knows, maybe they do.....

I've always heard that a deer will let a turkey or flock of turkeys proceed them in and then follow behind. I had this theory proven to me last year when the turkeys came through it was 30-45 mins later a deer would follow right behind them. Like Huvrman said I feel like the deer uses the turkey's eyesight to forewarn them of possible danger or something isn't right. But thats just my 2 cents
