Been working on the plot for a couple of days for a few hours at a time. Im used to doing 1/4 acre microplots, and not these 5 acre fields!! Makes my equipment look and feel small when it takes 2 hours to go over it with the chisel!!.

Bushhogged this field first, and then chiseled it up, and waited a few days for the grass to die down, and came back today and chiseled it again, then broadcasted the fertilizer.

Since this is a duel purpose plot, for doves and deer, we went with a mixture of Hutchinson Beans, Brown top Millet, and Peredovic Sunflowers. Come fall we will bush hog strips and till and sow with Winter Wheat.

Beautiful spot here in Rutherford County!

Love it, keep us posted on this one. Would love to hear how well you do with the doves.

As I was broadcasting the millet over the top, something caught my eye and it was to doves picking seed out in the field!!! They would fly up and land 20 ft away!!!!!

Hope they did not eat all of the seed :) I am still looking for that deadly combo for my dove field.
